ARTWORK - DESIGNING FOR PRINT

MEMORY & IMAGINATION

Emulating the art works of one of the most celebrated graphic designers in the United States - Milton Glaser. I was inspired by the communicative power of his designs, building upon the techniques shown in his poster design for one of Bob Dylan’s concerts in 1967 to create this image.

HEAVEN & HELL

Drawing upon inspiration from the Pop Art movement and Pointillism, experimenting with colours to portray the meaning and emotion behind the image.

Emphasising key features of the portrait through the use of very rigid and mechanical shapes, I was able to disect and displace the image to create a dissorientating experience for the viewer, whilst also experimenting with various colours and lters to create a contrast against the cold backdrop of the black and white image to re ect the theme of “Order and Chaos”

ORDER & CHAOS

Emphasising key features of the portrait through the use of very rigid and mechanical shapes, I was able to disect and displace the image to create a disorientating experience for the viewer, whilst also experimenting with various colours and filters to create a contrast against the cold backdrop of the black and white image to reflect the theme.
